The Acnestar soap has 2.5% Benzyl Peroxide.
Directions for use:
1)Use Acnestar soap on all affected parts of skin and lather, leave it for few minutes and then rinse with water.
2)For dry skin, apply moisturizer and follow up with sunscreen after skin absorbs the moisturizer completely.
3)For oily skin, apply a oil free moisturizer and follow up with a sunscreen.
4)Use twice everyday, morning as well as at night before going to bed, to see good results.
This soap gradually liberates Oxygen(in the presence of water) which kills bacteria and treats acne. It also also removes dirt and excess oil.

What is so special about this soap? Can everyone use it? Who should actually use this soap? I will answer these questions one by one.
I use Benzac (Benzyl Peroxide, 2.5%) when I get pimples during my special days. It is a gel that eliminates pimples in the same night. It basically dries out the zits so pimple gets cleared by next day! I wash my face with a mild soap, wait for about 15 to 20 minutes until skin dries up completely. I apply this cream on the affected spots. In the beginning I used to get slight tingling sensation. My skin had to get used to it. On the first time use, I kept it for 20 minutes and washed it. I did not actually experience any heating sensation as such but I just washed it to be on safer side. From second night I let it work on my face the whole night. It dries up your zits so damn wonderfully and your face appears fair. Its also a bleaching agent so you need to be careful about the pillows you sleep on. I loved this ointment! I am an IT girl so I don't actually get time on every night to spend on my face so I just end up washing my face and doze off after having my dinner. Now this is where Acnestar plays a very important role. I use this soap instead of the cream to clear the pimples.

So friends , if you have problem of pimples then try this soap and I am sure you will also be happy with its results. Its very affordable and is available in all medical shops. ReplyDeleteYou could use the acnestar gel but what I suggest is to use the acnestar soap because the soap does a wonderful job on all kinds of skin, be it oily, dry or combination skin. The gel seems to work better on oily skin. Now you decide :)

ReplyDeleteThanks for your valuable comment. You will feel a tingling sensation for sometime after washing your face with this soap. You feel like face needs to be coated with a mild cream. You could use Nivea if you have dry skin. For oily skin, use Lakme peach milk moisturizer. If you are prone to pimples or breakouts then dab some rose water on cotton and use on your face. If you are going out anytime later then use a sunscreen after using rose water to protect your facial skin from UV rays. Just make sure that the rose water dries before applying sunscreen. ReplyDeleteThanks for your valuable comment. You could use this soap. Use in the morning as well as at night. Your zits turn into blackspots because you are not applying sunscreen. You should apply sunscreen after washing face with this soap. Make sure that the facial skin dries up before applying the sunscreen lotion. Zits will slowly occur less often. You could use topical cream Benzac 2.5% also. Apply only on the affected areas. In the beginning you will feel like a little burning sensation which is very common. Burning sensation would be less if the skin is dry so let face to dry for about 20 minutes after face wash. For the first time use of this cream, wash off the cream after two hours. Apply only at night time. Next morning, wash face with a mild soap and apply sunscreen lotion. Remember to use either the Acnestar soap or Benzac cream. Do not use both the same day because both have the same stuff- Benzyl Peroxide. Its not needed to use high amounts of BP in one day to prevent or reduce breakouts. ReplyDeleteHi Chandu. Thanks for your valuable comment. Acnestar soap and Clindamyacin gel is a good combination treatment to treat your pimples. The blackspots appear due to various reasons. You might have tried to squeeze the pimple during your sleep or it might be due to Sun's UV rays. You need to apply sunscreen daily until your treatment gets over. After washing face you need to wait for your skin to dry. It takes about 5 to 10 minutes for our facial skin to dry properly. Then you need to apply a thin layer of the gel. Once this is done, wait for sometime and then dab on some sunscreen. Drink 8 glasses of water daily. Drink less of coffee. Best is to drink green tea.You could add honey and lemon to the green tea. Nowadays people opt for microdermabrasion treatment to look flawless on their wedding day. Once your pimple treatment gets over, give it a try. ReplyDeleteHi Harry. You could use the soap to keep your face oil free for few hours during the day. Use two times a day. Apply sunscreen lotion everyday before you go out. You could use clindamyacin gel to heal your scarred skin.Apply after washing your face with Acnestar soap. Make sure that face is dry before applying the gel. The gel will take some time to seep into the skin so wait for 10 to 15 minutes, then apply sunscreen lotion. You could use Ansolar cream that gives maximum protection from Sun's rays. ReplyDeleteHi Navodita. Everyone goes through a phase of acne in their life. I have also been a victim of acne. It was not severe though. My dermatologist told me that by 25, it will stop occuring. But it won't because during our special days we get acne near our chin. If we do not take care during those days it could spread. Since you have been suggested to use this soap then u better follow the routine advised by your doctor. Once you feel your skin is clear, you could still continue to use this soap. I like to use this soap for body too. It actually brightens the skin. If there are any zits on your chest region it would dry up as well as the skin was mildly peel so as a result there wouldn't be any marks. If you feel that you want to change your soap then use Fash foaming cleanser. Its available both in gel as well as liquid form. Both work well. I have tried myself. It keeps skin squeeky clean. But only when your skin is clear you could change your soap. If this soap keeps your zits at bay then there shouldn't be a thought to change soap infact. Sensitive skin guys could use this soap without any worries. Its not harsh. If you feel its drying your skin then use moisturizer after washing face. Apply sunscreen before going out. Hi Sam..You need to keep the lather for sometime, say about 2 or 3 minutes and then wash it off. Follow up with a moisturizer if your skin type is dry.

Hi reader..thanks for commenting..Once your acne clears up, say after 6 months, because isotretinoin takes about 6 months to clear acne completely, you will also notice that the spots have also cleared up. The tablet has that capability to clear scars .Use clindamyacin gel on the pimples to speed the process because it helps to heal the blemishes left by the zits. No need to use separate moisturizer until acne clears up.Drink lot of water.

Thanks for commenting. Use could use the gel with clindamyacin in it. Use sunscreen 15 minutes after applying the ointment. Skin needs to be UV protected so.
DeleteHi Sandhya. I got a cystic acne in Feb. 2015. I picked it. Then it left a red spot in front of my right cheek. I consulted homeopath. Her oral medicines worked. But meanwhile in Oct. 2015 I got three cystic acne on the same cheek . I went to the same homeopath again but even after 7 months the spots of those acne are visible. Meanwhile I also got red rashes on my same cheek. It may be the reaction of homeopathic medicines. Can I use acne star soap or other treatment to clear the spots.

Delete.If soap is not working then use the acnestar cream/gel. It is very effective. Read previous comments to know how to use this cream properly. Use sunscreen to avoid getting tanned.

I do not know the medication you are taking to ensure reduction in pimples, but if you are not taking any medication then I suggest applying onion face pack for about 4 weeks. ReplyDeleteHi Shivani. You could use acne star gel cream on pimples. In the beginning your face will need to get adjusted to the cream so apply over entire face and wash after 2 hours. Use only at night. After a week of daily usage, leave for whole night.Wash next morning. Apply sunscreen. Acnestar soap would help if you find that you are not getting time to apply cream daily. Soap also works really well. Try using soap if you find that the cream is little harsh on your skin. Buy it online if you do not get in nearby medical store. I have put its link here in this post. Drink lot of water. Maintain good diet plan. Eat less of oily food. Stay away from junk food. Take care!

DeleteUse Himalaya pimple n acne cream over your face which is completely Ayurvedic with all natural ingredients in it. So you will surely get rid of your pimples. If it's not available to you in nearby medicine stores then go for online purchasing.

Was out of town to celebrate a very special event of my life! :) This soap would try to purge the pimples out for first few weeks if the dirt or pus is deep inside the skin. You better continue for four weeks (1 month) atleast. Your skin would thank you for sure!! :) Do not eat 'very' oily stuff and drink lot of water daily. Follow this for a month atleast for good results. Apply sunscreen to avoid black marks.

Hi Shivani. Thanks for replying. By the word harsh I meant it could sting the first two times you use it. You might feel to wash face within two hours of usage of the cream. The cream tries to dry your zits. This stinging could be prevented if you make sure to first let your skin dry after washing face then apply the cream. This should be done only at night. Apply moisturizer if necessary. Cream does a good job. Within the first week itself you will notice the difference:) Try and let me know your results!

ReplyDeleteHi Karthik. Thanks for commenting. Since your skin type is dry, you need to use a moisturizer and a sunscreen after washing face with this soap. Make sure your face is let to dry for atleast 15 minutes before applying moisturizer and sunscreen. You could buy this soap using the 'BUY' option provided in this post. Let me know your results. Drink lot of water everyday and sleep for 7 hours atleast. No need to use sunscreen at night.

ReplyDeleteHi Karthik. You need not use both at the same time. After washing face wait for 15 minutes, then once skin is dry, apply moisturizer .Let skin absorb it completely then apply sunscreen. You could give a gap of about 5 minutes. There is link named ' Simple routine system' in this post, you will find products that I recommend friends to use because many ask me to suggest them a moisturizer and sunscreen. Check out the link to know about the right moisturizer to be used for acne prone skin. The routine system is very easy to follow everyday.Try it and let me know the results once skin clears up.

DeleteHi Karthik, I suggest using Lakme Peach Milk Moisturizer with Sunscreen. It has both moisturizer as well as Sunscreen in it. If your acne was severe then I would have suggested Ansolar sunscreen as its best for people with severe acne. It calms the redness very soon. You decide which one to use.

Hi Vaibhav. This soap works well if you maintain good diet. Avoid oily and pimple triggering foods. Drink 8 glasses of water daily. Apply clindamyacin gel after using this soap. Follow the instructions as mentioned in this post.

With a table maxithral before dinner and adanele nano get at night be for bed time half an hour .. But it seems nothing is working used for 2months and stopped .. Now I'm just using acne star gel at night daily from last 1 an a half see but can't see any difference.... Plz suggest something what do I do !

Hi Seema. You need to keep a check on your diet. There might be many reasons for pimples to appear on face.There is one solution which would surely help. Drink 8 glasses of water everyday. Use a mild soap like acnestar soap. Use clindamyacin gel after washing face.This gel would heal your skin.Apply twice daily.Water is very vital.It cleanses your body. You must try to drink 8 glasses daily.Start with one/two glasses of water, then slowly reach count of 8.You will notice a big difference!

You better use the soap on alternate days else do a gentle oil massage first using olive oil, then use this soap to use this soap daily. Apply moisturizer after washing face. Try to use lakme peach milk moisturizer. It's gentle. Lakme sunscreen is best for your skin. Use this sunscreen after applying moisturizer. Keep few minutes gap when trying to apply these two.They must dry completely. Drink lot of water.

Acnestar would clear your pimples, but for the marks you need to use clindamyacin gel. Use moisturizer and also sunscreen after this. If your skin is oily then do not use moisturizer, directly use sunscreen after applying clindamyacin gel. This gel would heal your blemishes and marks.

Let the pimples vanish first then try mederma or msm but it's better to use the acnestar soap and clindamyacin gel to get a clear skin. Also, use moisturizer and sunscreen. Msm cream could be used if you have mild acne. It's not necessary for you right now I feel. Now you decide.

ReplyDeleteHi Riya. Your skin is definitely getting tanned due to Sun rays. This soap is used to keep pimples at bay but it doesn't help much to whiten your skin. I suggest you to use a good sunscreen lotion like Lakme Sun expert. Some foundations can make your skin look brighter without giving any breakouts. Use ELF acne fighting foundation. I love this one! I have chosen beige shade. Choose your shade appropriately. It is a bit pricey but surely worth. It does a good job of making your skin look flawless and fair. Try it!

ReplyDeleteHi Riya. The Lakme sunscreen is good for oily skinned guys. Aloe Vera might help! Slice it neatly and apply or buy an aloe vera gel. Drink lot of water. You will get a good glow.

ReplyDeleteHi friend. You need to internally clean yourself. Drink green tea. Avoid coffee and tea for about 2 weeks and check if these beverages are your acne triggering culprits. Drink 8 glasses of water. Use Acnestar soap. Do not use gel if you are using acnestar soap. Use clindamyacin gel to help heal acne lesions.

Hi reader. I'm sorry for the late response. Use the acnestar soap and clindamyacin gel .This gel would help heal pimples. You need to use sunscreen before stepping out from home. At home it's not required. Drink lot of water. Avoid coffee and tea. Drink green tea 2 times a day.

Hi Amritash. Use Benzac 2.5% daily at night after washing face. Wait for skin to dry. It would take about 20 minutes. Later on apply Benzac. Use moisturizer if your skin becomes dry. Next morning apply clindamyacin gel. Sunscreen is a must after that. Follow for a month. Drink lot of water. Avoid tea and coffee for sometime. Drink green tea. Acnestar would also help but if you use Benzac then soap is not necessary. Any mild soap would work.

ReplyDeleteHi friend. The reason for acne on forehead is due to allergy so you need to first check when this allergy actually occur. Did you eat anything new recently? Did you eat any junk food that could have caused the allergic reaction? Eating a mere burger sometimes causes acne because of its different ingredients.Try to recall. For routine purpose, you better drink lot of water. Around 8 cups. Eat clean junk free food for some days just to check if acne would reduce. No need to get stressed. Topically you could apply Benzac 2.5% on the zits.

ReplyDeleteHi Harika. Sorry for the late response. First and foremost do not use Ponds cream. Its best for dr skinned teens/ladies. Since yours' is a oily skin type, use a sunscreen which is meant for oily skin type like Lakme sunexpert or Lakme moisturizng lotion with sunscreen. Facials and face packs also should be chosen such that its meant for your type of skin. Oily skin is good in the long run. Chances of getting wrinkles is less. For now, first get rid of pimples, then think about using face packs or getting facials done. Do not do both at once. If you really want to try a facial then go in the natural way. Take an onion, cut into two slices and then rub it softly on your skin. This magically clears your pimples very soon. Follow this for a week atleast to notice difference. be careful while applying the same because onions will surely make your eyes get watery. Once your skin is free from pimples then you could try fruit facials. No other facials must be tried because doing so can invite the not so friendly guests, in short, pimples, to get back on your skin. Hope for the best!

ReplyDeleteHi Reagan..Sorry for late response. I had been busy lately. You get pimples for many reasons. You need to find out the exact reason for the same to occur.Skip non veg stuff if you are a non vegetarian. Skip for One or two weeks. If pimples subside then it definitely means that your skin is affected by fat which is contained in the meat that you eat. Drink lot of water. Avoid oily stuff for sometime. This soap would really help clear your acne. It lightens your skin tone provided you apply sunscreen before you go outside. Do not stress. For the scars you could try lemon juice or juice made from potato or plain aloe Vera gel. Scars will take some time to fade. For faster results you must try microdermabrasion treatment. Weekly fruit packs will also help lighten the scars.

You need to wear a scarf when you travel outside. Wash your face with this soap and then follow up with moisturizer as well as sunscreen. You need to avoid direct sunlight. Drink lot of water. Wear scarf that would not make you sweat near your neck and face. Cover your face completely with this scarf. Apply onion face pack daily if you get time. Search in this blog, there will be a post on how to prepare onion face pack for pimples. Do not be stressed. By the way, itching will stop if you are well hydrated and kept your skin moisturized.

ReplyDeleteHey Pranitha. Sorry for the late response. The boils is because of laser treatment for hair removal. You should have left your skin as it is because this eruption is only for some time. You also took up peels. You really took your skin for granted. You should have just used acnestar and clindamyacin gel. These were enough to soothe your skin. Do not try any other stuff on your skin. You drink 2 to 3 litres of water daily. If all goes well then your skin should clear up within 3 to 4 weeks. It will never clear within a week. To clear within a week, you need supplements which is really not advisable.

Hi Saipriyanka. Since yours is of oily skin type, you should avoid oily foods atleast for a month in order to confirm if you really are getting zits because of that. If you are fond of eating non veg stuff then skip this too. Do not eat junk food like burgers ,pizzas, rolls etc,. Drink lot of water. Apply benzac gel to make the zits dry up soon. Soap will keep skin clean. Use Acnestar soap in the morning. At night, skip this soap, use some other mild soap and apply benzac gel.

Hi Pranathi. Glad to know that your pimples problem is now under your control and you have achieved your goal of clear skin. You need to use this soap for atleast 1 more month to make sure that the acne causing bacteria has been completely eliminated. Acne is a problem that could come back anytime in near future. So you need to follow the routine that you are following now to have clear glowing skin for longer time. Using acnestar soap and clindamyacin gel for long will not cause any side effects so no need to switch to a different kind of skin routine that would involve new products. Use can use both of them for full face.

Delete1)Yes Clindamyacin gel is available in medical store with same name.
2)Benzac 2.5% + CG is awesome for killing the acne bacteria and then healing the scars if any is there. This is for stubborn acne. If one has mild acne then this soap + clindamyacin gel will also work good. If your skin is oily then this soap is perfect but if its dry then you need to use this soap and later use moisturizer. Sunscreen is a must for dry as well as oily skin.
Yeah it's really work and Im using this this from last 2 month's it's really wonderful product, but I want to can I ask my nivea face wash once in a day?

If the Nivea product suits your skin then it might have been fine but never experiment just because the other product smells good because if the product irritates your skin then it is not good. For your whiteheads , this soap would do a marvelous job.For black spots, you need to wait for your skin to heal. Try Clindamyacin gel to heal your skin soon. For open pores, you could use a mild toner like rose water. Open pores will slowly diminish in size when you follow up with toner after every time you wash your face. Drink plenty of water. When you keep your skin hydrated, your open pores will start to look like its completely reduced in size!

You need to exfoliate your skin gently with a scrub to get rid of dead skin cells and debris. Use acnestar soap daily but exfoliaton is a must to be done using a scrub once in a week. Apply a good sunscreen. Oil massage on hands before bath also helps to remove dirt from your skin. Try these remedies and let me know your results!
